INDENTURE. Rev. John MacNaughton and others to Mr. William Gilroy. Fee Farm Grant of a plot of Building Ground in Botanic Avenue, Belfast. Entered in the Registry Office in the City of Dublin on the 17th day of May, 1876.Folio manuscript on vellum, with seals. The grantors are Rev. John MacNaughton, Presbyterian Minister, James Baxter Ferguson, Merchant of Belfast, and James Little Esq. of Lower Baggot Street in Dublin.The Grantee is William Gilroy, Plumber and Lead Merchant of Botanic Terrace, Dublin Road, Belfast. The granted land is ''..on the East side of Botanic Avenue...containing in front thereto ninety eight feet and extending backwards on the North side fifty two feet eight inches and on the south side along and having a frontage to Posnett Street fifty feet...more or less bounded on the East partly by premises in possession of Thomas Dunlop and partly by a lane or passage on the South by Posnett Street, on the West by Botanic Avenue and on the North by premises in the possession of William Stokesbury, and more particularly delineated on the map endorsed hereon situate in the Parish of Shankill otherwise Belfast Barony...''
